Hahamongna Native
Plant Nursery
The Hahamongna Native Plant Nursery, in Pasadena, California, is an all-volunteer project of the Arroyo Seco Foundation.
We have ongoing opportunities for volunteers (minimum age 18) on a regular basis. Volunteers help with plant care, propagation, retail sales, and grounds maintenance.
The nursery also has occasional and limited opportunities for volunteers age 16-17 with consent or a parent or guardian. We do not have volunteer opportunities for children under the age of 16.

Citizen Scientist Program
Our Citizen Scientists meet in the upper Arroyo Seco on a regular basis to monitor water quality, and document environmental conditions.
Trout Scouting is one of the activities of our Citizen Scientist Program. Trout Scouts monitor and document the population of native rainbow trout in the Arroyo Seco.
Trout Scouting and Citizen Scientist activities are managed and led by an Arroyo Seco Foundation environmental scientist, and involve moderately strenuous hiking on trails and through streams in the upper Arroyo Seco. Minimum age 18. Participants under the age of 18 may be accepted with consent and/or supervision of a parent or guardian.
